A New Year's Resolution Your Children Will Love

Turn the Chaos of Your Photos into the Story of Your Life

How many of you made New Year’s resolutions?

Most of us start a new year with great intentions. We want to become healthier, so we plan meals and go to the gym. We want to become more organized, so we buy a planner and make “To Do” lists. We set goals for better health, greater productivity, peace of mind- goals that will benefit us in some way.

What if I told you that you could make a resolution that would not only benefit you, but also your children and grandchildren? In fact, this goal will ESPECIALLY benefit your children and grandchildren.

Think for a  minute about the photos you have in your home. ALL of them. Do you have boxes of printed photos? Do you have digital photos on you computer, phone, tablet and memory cards? Do you have boxes and/or carousels of slides? Do you have home movies that need to be converted to digital?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, the time to get these fading memories preserved is NOW.

The older I get, the more I appreciate the fact that none of us knows how long we have on this earth. And the older I get, the more aware I am of the tangible things my children will inherit when I’m gone. Do I want to leave them boxes of unidentified photos to sort through or (shudder) throw away? Or do I want to leave them Photo Books with names, dates and precious memories? I can assure you that I already know what they would prefer.

Let’s make a resolution to organize our photo memories this year. Let’s make a resolution to preserve our most priceless possessions and turn our chaos into a legacy that will be a blessing to our children and grandchildren.
