Can You Watch Your Home Movies?
Remember those old home videos that everyone used to make? I’m not talking about the little clips we take on our phones occasionally. I’m talking about the often long and random videos of anything and everything.
We probably all have some of these old videos sitting in some box in the corner of the attic or garage. There are probably some incredible, funny, and random memories mixed in there. But most of us do not enjoy any of them, or even remember what we have recorded, because we no longer have the equipment to view them.
Just like a box of chocolates, we may be pleasantly (or unpleasantly) surprised at what we would find if we were to watch them. But, also like a box of chocolates, we will never know unless we open the box and find out what is there.
Now, you could go out and buy a VCR specifically for those 10 VHS home videos and watch them once or twice when you are feeling nostalgic. Or you could just keep them in the boxes they have been in for years. But how much more would you be able to enjoy them if you could watch them on your laptop? How much easier would it be to share them with family and friends, so they can enjoy those memories as well?
That is why conversion is so incredible and important. When we convert our old tapes, slides, pictures, and even DVDs into something we can (and will) easily access, it allows us to finally enjoy those memories that we have captured.
Because what good is a box of chocolates if we are not going to open it?
